Visual Families continues the inspiring journey into what is state-of-the-art in illustration, data visualization, and visual storytelling that began with Gestalten titles such as Around the World. Thanks to this book, it has never been so much fun to look at lists!
Antonis Antoniou co-edited A Map of the World: The World According to Illustrators and Storytellers. The book’s success inspired him to continue his visual exploration of how we understand and categorize the world in Visual Families. Antoniou is fascinated by the ways in which material things can be brought to life through immaterial visualizations. He grew up on Cyprus, where he became interested in colors and forms from an early age. When Antoniou is not obsessively designing maps and lists, he makes his living as an architect.
